About Me

Nabhan is a Chartered Engineer - Naval Architecture (Engineering Council UK – The Royal Institution of Naval Architects), a Professional Engineer in Naval Architecture (Board of Engineers Malaysia) and a Professional Technologist – Maritime Technology (Malaysia Board of Technologists) with over seven (7) years of industry experience in ship design, classification, consulting, construction, and inspection.

Nabhan has expertise in risk and engineering-based assessment of Floating Offshore-Naval Architecture facilities, having been involved in ship repair and shipbuilding for commercial, Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO), military and para-military ships of various types, sizes, and conditions.

He has also been involved in Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Commissioning (EPCC) projects during his role as Plan Approval Engineer at the class society and roles as consultant involving complying of IACS classification rules, LR rules, SCM class rules and other relevant International Maritime Organization (IMO) rules, which has equipped him with the capability to manoeuvre the classification and administration requirement in a structured style.

  • Involved in Royal Malaysian Navy SKN 6 FAC G KD Paus long refit and responsible in hull inspection, survey report, ship structures inspection and deflection analysis
  • Prepare technical documentation for vessel conversion program for Royal Malaysian Navy of KTD Kepah
  • Compute tonnage and load line calculation
